"You're the one I have decided...

...who's one of my kind." Hey Soul Sister by Train

Hey Soul Sister is one of my absolute new favorite songs...I mean, it's not brand new, but I've been listening to it often, lately, and the more I listen, the more I love it, just like with Drops of Jupiter. Train seems to have a very fanciful effect on my soul, and it makes my heart happy. <3
(This random picture is me wearing Aunt Frankie's scarf and a painting apron. My eyemakeup turned out better than usual, and it was simply too good a photo moment to pass up.)

My latest obsession is this blog trend of making little collections of things--sets of three or ten or whatever of groups of objects--instead of mere magazine-style blogging. I must admit, there is something deliciously therapeutic about skimming various blogs and flikr images and finding a series from every corner of the internet that just fits together. Totally different, but it reminds me of Proverbs 31, where the woman "brings her food from afar." I bring my photos from afar. :)

There is a nifty little tool for this, called Pintrest. You see an image and "pin" it, and then it goes on your wall. This is my new Pintrest Wall, Words and Whimsicals, which I've only just started this morning. It's a new thing, I think, since there really aren't very many members. I am excited about it.

While I'm on the subject of muses and creative collections and such, this Moodstream tool is fun. I may have mentioned it before, in fact I'm sure I have. You set your mood, and it has a stream of images, videos, and music that it presents in line with whatever settings you chose. It has helped me just sort of get the creative juices flowing when I've been feeling uncreative.

Finally, Irony and I were painting yesterday. I'm trying to make some things to hang up on our very blank living room wall. I have an idea, and if it works, you'll get to see it. :) If not, pretend I never mentioned it.

Irony was being cute, as usual.

If anyone has any very pretty ways to write the letter "O", do tell. That is my deepest artistic struggle at present. I am confident in all other letters (you know, when you just want a pretty way to write letters? Fancy ways? Ok, maybe this is just me who does this...) but I cannot make a good "O". It always ends up...lopsided.

Love to everyone!

Cute pictures! I hope I get to see your idea even if it's good or bad. :)
