"I got a pocket-full of sunshine...

...I got a love and I know that it's all mine." Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Beddingfield.

Hi friends! Sorry it's been so long. I've got a few fun things I thought ya'll might like to see, and then I'll catch you up on our lives:

I made cupcakes for St. Patrick's Day, and I wish I'd thought to create my own anatomy of a cupcake. :)

This is possibly the cutest thing you will see all day. :)

Funny "dear blank" cards by Design Crush.

Sweet "We <3 Husband's" blog post. :) I expect I'll appreciate mine even more when we have kids someday!

Anyhow, we are crazy busy here! I've accepted a few catering/decorating/wedding planning gigs for some friends and to help out with my buddies at the Cafe on the Square. We're catering a wedding in 2 weeks that I think is going to be darling! I will post pictures when I get them. :)

Also with the cafe, or more precisely, with Holy Grounds, we're doing a Bible Study on Romans (Precepts) and it's been incredible--though we often spend at least an hour a day doing homework. I'm even learning some Greek!

Besides that, I'm still taking Arabic (jayiid jiidaan, ihaamdulillah.) which is 3 days a week and bukoos of homework on the other days and working my little research job. It's actually becoming much less of a "little" research job, and taking over more and more of my life. :/

The last week, especially, has been utterly crazy. We met some new friends and have had a blast hanging out with them while they're here (they travel a lot for work). Ryan cracked a big case and had a lot of resultant work/overtime dealing with the ramifications of that (I'm so proud of him!) and I spent all night (literally, from 10pm to 8am) helping redecorate and do some work on the Cafe. It was so much fun, but I'm still catching up on sleep! I think I may be coming down with a cold. :/

To finish off the craziness, Sunday was our 1 year anniversary! Ryan told me he had a surprise planned and...it certainly was a surprise! Ryan, if you can believe this, took me to the Disney on Ice: Princess Wishes show in Lexington!!!!!!! I was so excited and surprised when we got there, that I cried and cried and couldn't stop crying for the excitement. And then when Cinderella came out, I cried again. :) And there were dragons and fire and fireworks and Tinkerbelle and I go a snow-cone in a fabulous mug...sigh. Dreams really do come true. :P

And then he took me to the Melting Pot for dinner...Yum!!!!

Basically, it was awesome. :) He is an angel. I love him.

So yes, that's what's up these days. Hopefully I can rest up and kick this cold before it gets any worse!

Love!

When Ry told me he took you to Disney on Ice I was like, wow, that is really sweet! And I was also like, since when does Ry do this kind of thing, well, the answer to that was, since he married such a wonderful girl as my sis-in-law. :) Miss you two! Hope you feel better soon!
