...estas en busca de mil diamantes." Pretty Girl, Jadiel.
Translation: "That elegant girl...but those in search of a thousand diamonds." (Not really any reason I chose this song, just what I had on at the time I wrote this.)
O my word. Last day of finals, and I am having SO much trouble concentrating...I am tired of the History of Islam. Here, watch, I can summerize all 68 pages of notes from this last half of the semester: They killed people and we killed people, crusades happened, Moguls happened and they were taken over and we were taken over, and it went back and forth and there are lots of important people who shaped the history of Islam, and they all have multi-syllabic Arabic names like Salah-ed-Din and Umar al-Kayyam or Harum al-Rashid and the Muslim Brotherhood popped out of nowhere to turn into all the little terrorist cells we've come to know and love.
I want to go home, I want to make my bed and put on makeup and take pictures of weather and geese and people and plan weddings and go shopping. :(
Sigh. Ok, one more day, I can make it through one more day--God's grace is sufficient for me.
Meh.
Despite that, here is a very cool image I found (free domain) of a tiger out of Arabic script--since technically, under Islam you are not allowed to draw figures of animals or plants or people, but they never said you shouldn't write figures... :) Not sure what it says, but it's Shi'a calligraphy.
Isn't it ironic?
